Minnesota’s Biggest Loser contestant Jennifer Eisenbarth to share her 100-pound weight loss story
Former plus-size model and her trainer Teri Dale will reveal shape-up secrets during the Sports and Recreation Expo for Women

Former plus-size model and Shakopee resident Jennifer Eisenbarth learned something about achieving weight loss goals when she was a contestant on the popular Biggest Loser TV show. “Some people find great success in journaling and counting calories. I am NOT one of them,” she says. “I find journaling and counting only make me obsess more about food (the ones I'm eating and the ones I'm NOT). My personal goal was to downplay the role food plays in my life -- not spend more time being consumed with it.”

Eisenbarth, and her trainer Teri Dale, will make a special appearance at the Sports and Recreation Expo for Women (www.101expos.com), coming to the Minneapolis Convention Center on March 24th and 25th.  Eisenbarth, who also serves as a spokesperson for the Get Fit Twin Cities program adds that Get Fit participants will be admitted to the expo for free by showing their Get Fit Twin Cities passport cards. Get Fit Twin Cities is a fun, team-based health and fitness challenge designed to jump start healthy habits that will help adults feel better, look better, and live longer, healthier lives.

Now an incredibly compassionate stay-at-home mom, Eisenbarth was once so used to putting her family and friends first that she tended to neglect herself in the process. Always one to finish the remnants of her kids’ leftover food, she was ready to conquer her weight battle once and for all when she joined the Biggest Loser competition during season three of the show. She ultimately lost 100 pounds.

The Sports & Recreation Expo for Women will feature hundreds of exhibitors showcasing the latest in sports, fitness and recreational gear and equipment, clothing and related accessories, plus nonstop seminars to help attendees stay at the top of their game. With industry experts and women sports participants such as Jennifer Eisenbarth, Minnesota Lynx Assistant Coach Teresa Edwards, PGA Master Professional Jock Olson, and Teaching Professional Andrea Kellar, the show is intended to inspire women to achieve their goals, and find even more fun and challenges in their recreational activities.

This year’s sponsors include the 2008 U.S. Women’s Open, KSTC Channel 5, KSTP Channel 45, AM 950 and Stressfree Living.
