Ms. Minnesota Senior Pageant Queens to show off their poise and style during Hope Chest Seniors Fashion Show.
Runway event to kick off this year's Seniors Spring Show will feature

Today's mature women have many more fashion choices than their mothers did. From bold prints to subtle fringe, they look comfortable and confident when they show off their own individual style. This April at the annual Seniors Spring Show, past Ms. Minnesota Senior Pageant Queens will walk the fashion runway to show local senior ladies how to combine designer clothes with chic accessories to create their own new looks.

The Pageant Queens, all of whom have reached the 'age of elegance' (age 60 and above) will be models for the Hope Chest Seniors Fashion Show during the Seniors Spring Show (www.101expos.com), April 6-7, 2010 at Mystic Lake Casino Hotel.

"These pageant queens are re-defining the image of aging in America – exemplifying healthy aging, wellness and mental wellbeing – so it's only fitting that they serve as the fashion show models," comments Seniors Spring Show producer Robin Kocina. "Today's senior women are active and involved. Many still are active in the workforce while others are incredible volunteers."

The fashion show will be produced by Hope Chest for Breast Cancer, and will be emceed by 5 Eyewitness News Anchor Leah McLean and Hope Chest for Breast Cancer Founder Barbara Hensley. The organization's Orono and St. Paul stores feature women's designer clothing and accessories as well as high-end home furnishings, all of which is donated and made available for resale. To date, Hope Chest for Breast Cancer has donated more than $750,000 in support of local underserved women touched by breast cancer, often helping these women pay for food, rent and electricity.

Those who bring a receipt from a Hope Chest for Breast Cancer retail store to the expo will receive 1/2 off their expo admission. "You'll also want to stop by their booth at the show to buy a raffle ticket for some really nice prizes!" adds Kocina.
