Who will be our next hometown celebrity? It could very well be one of the talented people competing in the first annual 50+ Strut Your Stuff Talent Contest. This September, contestants from throughout the Twin Cities area will compete in round one of the contest, each hoping to win a coveted spot in the final competition to be held on stage at the 10th annual Seniors Expo and possibly a first prize trip for two to Don Laughlin's Riverside Resort Hotel & Casino.

"We want the public to come out to the auditions to cheer your favorite contestants," exclaims Robin Kocina, president of Mid-America Events & Expos (www.101expos.com). "We have been producing seniors events for 10 years and we know for certain that there are lots of very talented people out there. I predict we’ll be blown away by the caliber of the participants."

The contest is open to all Minnesota residents who reached their 50th birthday by April 6, 2010. To make it an even playing field, only amateurs may enter. The first place winner will receive a grand prize trip for two to Don Laughlin's Riverside Resort Hotel & Casino in Laughlin, Nevada including three to four nights stay at the resort, air travel on Sun Country Airlines, grand transportation and luggage assistance.

In addition, all contest finalists who perform on the Expo stage will experience the excitement of participating in a live, in-studio interview on KLBB radio. This could be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for these talented contestants!
