Attention Seniors: Do You Ever Find Yourself Running Out
of Summer Before You Run Out of Plans?
Here’s a way to get a head start on the best summer ever Summer is so short, especially here in Minnesota. If you have ever wished you knew about a great activity at the beginning of the season instead of the end, or if you’d just like to get more organized this year, help is here. From travel to walking tours, home improvement to physical fitness, seniors can find fun, exciting ways to spring into summer at the first annual Seniors Spring Show™. Kick start the season with hundreds of resources to help active seniors have the best summer ever, and perhaps even richer, fuller lives all year long. The show will be held April 5-6, 2004 at Mystic Lake Casino in Prior Lake. Not sure how you want to enjoy the warm weather this year? Explore a diverse mix of exhibitors, speakers and entertainment including gardening experts, clubs and social groups, convenience products and services, tour and travel resources, home improvement retailers, and even educational resources. Helping to set the mood will be the “B”zz – a benevolent senior dance group that will be dancing to nearly a dozen songs that invoke the feeling of spring. The specially choreographed numbers will include Tiptoe Through the Tulips, I Love a Rainy Night, Rockin’ Robin and Singing in the Rain. Then stick around as the dancers teach audience members how to do a few steps of their own! The “B”zz are part of a nonstop entertainment line-up that also will include singers and even senior exercise demonstrations. There also will be free goodie bags for the first 250 attendees, as well as other valuable drawings throughout the two-day event. The Seniors Spring Show™ is sponsored by Good Age, Medica, KLBB/WMNN and Mystic Lake Casino. Senior admission is $6 at the door or $3 with the ½ price coupon available on the Mid-America Events & Expos Web site: www.101expos.com. Kids under 17 are admitted free when accompanied by an adult. Show hours are Monday, April 5th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Tuesday, April 6th from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Further information is available by calling the Expo hotline at 612-798-7256.
