Michelle Roddie named national Show Manager of the Year

Congratulations and a heartfelt WOO HOO to our own Michelle Roddie, who has won the very prestigious 2009 Show Manager of the Year (SMOTY) award.

This national award honors Michelle for her innovative practices, premier customer service, commitment to success and ability to overcome obstacles. She will receive a custom crystal trophy during an upscale event in Houston this November, as well as a $1000 to be donated to her favorite charity: the Just One More Day organization.

The SMOTY Award is sponsored by The Expo Group, and was created to recognize people such as Michelle for their "can do" spirit. Those of us who know and love Michelle agree that she's definitely someone who can make positive things happen!

Michelle has been with Mid-America Events & Expos since its inception, and with parent company Kocina Branding and Marketing Companies since 1992. As Vice President of Operations, her responsibilities include event and expo creation and development, project management, and overall event coordination.
