You'll laugh, you'll dance, you'll create ... you'll learn. This could be a trip that changes your life.

Here are just a few show highlights

  • Discover a hidden artistic talent: If you've ever dreamed of painting, sculpting, writing, singing, drawing, acting, dancing ... but didn't know how to get started, here's your chance! Professional artists and volunteers are ready to let you give it a try! The Minnesota Creative Arts and Aging Network will be staffing an interactive area where you can try your hand at anything from drawing and creative writing to music, sculpting or improvisational theatre. Whether or not you have done it before, you are creative! Now is the time to discover and work within your passion!
  • Exercise your body: Certified personal trainer Jenny Wilcox, of the SilverSneakersĀ® Fitness Program, will help you practice balance and fall prevention skills and drills, and reveal health information to keep you happy and healthy forever!
  • Put some music in your life: Join Schmitt Music for some big band favorites and familiar oldies. Learn how music can improve your quality of life while discovering a fun new hobby!
  • Protect yourself from scam artists: The phrase "Old enough to know better and young enough to be fooled", fits all. Explore how to use the Better Business Bureau and other agencies to become an informed consumer, to protect yourself against scams and fraud, and to empower yourself to report such activities to the proper agencies.

All 2011 expos benefiting Hands of Freedom

Mid-America Events & Expos is pleased to donate 50 percent of all 2011 expo ticket sales, as well as a booth within each expo, to Hands of Freedom, a 501(c)3 organization founded to bring social and spiritual justice to oppressed people in India. Hands of Freedom's programs include fresh water wells, savings programs, micro-enterprise opportunities and women's ministries. Through these programs those in the lowest caste, the Untouchables, receive hope, training and education, helping them escape from human trafficking, bondage and violence. www.handsoffreedom.org
